You're Best Kept Secret When Engaging With New Prospect

What is your best-kept secret for engaging new prospect at its earliest stage? How do you pitch a new prospect without coming across as poverty-stricken? How do you keep the interest level of your new opportunity at the highest echelon of communication? Some of the key questions l feel we all have when prospecting. 

One of the first self-help books that helped me on this subject matter was written by Dale Carnegie How to Win Friends and Influence People, an all-time best seller if you have never read this book buy it as soon as possible read it over and over until the information becomes ordinary with your abilities of communication. 

If you want awareness from your prospects then talk about them, review their profile on LinkedIn, empathize their interest levels, as no one else, has, gather as much information about them as possible before sending a request for friendship on FaceBook, or adding them as a contact to your Social Media Network.

When you send them a request, make it personable, mention an interest that they have or a hobby, something that will intrigue his interest. Getting his interest should be the only aspiration you have with any prospect you're trying to recruit to your Social Network. 

One of the biggest prospects that I recruited took me almost six weeks for him to join the company I was pitching him. I did all the right things, provided him with an emotional attachment, spoke about how impressed I was with his track record within our industry, went to a few of his Webinars; he invited me too. 

The key with me closing him was that I listen to what he was looking for. Once I understand who he was and what he was looking for, I turn my efforts around, and then he asked me the question I was hoping he would have one day? So how do I get involved with what you're doing? 

I was driving at the time when the call took place, so I asked him if he was in front of his computer, he said yes, then I just walked him through the signup process, not only did he sign up he upgraded all in the first step. He has led me to endless streams of Network Marketers that has built my business beyond my wildest dreams. 

He has spoken to my partner on many occasions asking him, how in god's name I ever closed him. My partner asked him, why did he close you? His answer the man was always busy, just give me a  few minutes of his time, that intrigued me, made me just want to work with him.  

Steps You Need to Understand Before Contacting a Future Prospect:

1) Review your prospects Profile on LinkedIn; this gives you the most accurate Profile if he keeps it up to date. What I always use.

2) Gather as much information about his interests, education, accomplishments, hobbies, what businesses his into along with his Social Media Habits. Read some of the articles he has written if any. Should help you with a strategy for getting his attention level and also intrigue him.

3) Use a platform to write out your pitch to him or her so that you will have proper spelling, grammar, I use Grammarly for all of my writing, tweets, it's easy to use. The free version is fine unless you want to upgrade, that is entirely up to you.

4) Should be easy because the most important step is you have listened, read everything he/she has said either via email, telephone conversation.

5) Take one last review of what you send him, if it all looks impressive click the send button.

Tips and Concepts to Use When Prospecting With a Cold Market

Without prospects, you have no way of increasing your success with any business whether it is marketing with an eCommerce Business, Multi Level Marketing or a Brick and Mortar Business. Prospects are the blood line of achievement with the mentioned industries.

When I first got into sales back in 1983, selling vehicles at a Large Dealership in Agincourt, Ontario where I worked. I asked a question to my Sales Manager, so where do I get my prospects from? He looked at me, and said l will be right back; he slammed the white pages phone book on my desk. Do you have any other questions?

I got the message, but I had a big problem, I had no education on how to prospect.  So I spoke to all my senior sales partners, but they were old school with established repeat clients, so that was a waste of human energy. We had no internet back then, so I decided to dedicate myself to this field by going to the Library and reading all the books that related to the sales industry.

I would go to the library a couple of times a week, and borrow new books that I had an interest. I came across an author who was called The World's Greatest Salesman Joe Girard. Wow, I said to myself, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I read and study his principles, and started to apply his concepts, tips to my daily activities. Within a couple of weeks of doing what l had studied, I started having results. I had more appointments for the week than most of the senior sales partners at our dealership.

I recall one day my Sales Manager came up to me and asked how I was getting so many appointments when I was only a car cadet, other words a rookie. I looked at him and said I am doing what you told me to do, using the phone book and calling the prospect. What are you talking about to them, so I showed him the script I had wrote and tested, to see where my results were coming from. Yes, I kept records on all of my calls, created a manual file for each prospect, with names and important details, that would help me engage with them and establish credibility.

The number one tip I have learned from all of my years invested in the sales industry is still the same tip I use in 2016, this will never change, if you want results, you have to study your the market, and when applying this concept, you will see results. Learning how to engage with your prospect without coming across as some robot. God give us two ears and one mouth, which one should we use the most?

Let us not forget we as car salesmen do not have an excellent reputation, so this is one of the hardest industries to make a full time living from. The status of a car salesperson has drastically changed with all the new industry standards, but most people still do not trust a car salesman.

That was how prospecting was conducted back then, but the approaches used have not changed except, now we use different tools, called Social Media Marketing. Creating a brand, getting Likes to our FaceBook Page, using all types of various Social Media Levels, such as LinkedIn, Twitter, FaceBook just to name a few.  

When we are using Social Media Levels, we still need to get the most important point across, getting our prospect to engage with each other, without pitching him on the first impression, or second for that matter. It's so important, and most rookies will prospect you to the point of you being spam by their opportunity, never understood why anyone would take this unsuccessful approach.

You will need to become a master of the skills you learn, the only way this is going to happen is by you practicing your script on a daily base. Keep track of what is working and what is not working, modify it so it can become a seed of endless prospects for you to work with.

You just know how this person will react; making your marketing skills prolific in the sense you already knew their weaknesses by using and understanding this concept.  Using this very useful technique is an absolute “Art”.  Let’s learn more about this subject and benefit from it.

When we test human responses to marketing efforts.  People react to certain words, phrases and enticements, such as words “Free”, “Sale”, and up to 75% off. What creative marketing calls a sizzle; we have now created a niche market for an audience that has our attention. A real dream comes true, in a simply explained manner.

Creates cultural reactivity that we all have felt and learned from; this type of thinking and understanding takes an effort to master and generate the above statement. When we understand a person’s cultural idealism which knowing the excellent pictures that play in their mind, we now know and anticipate their behavior and reaction.  Perhaps l have sparked an interest in you, we all have had this type of thinking, knowing ahead of time.

Predictable behavior patterns occur daily, and they get rather boring as we all know, but when we use this method in a business transaction! Happens, you have created a competitive edge to negotiate a reward winning contract, perhaps a sale or just an excellent contact and lead. Marketing is a contact sport when you think about it.

Master and learn how to use good reactivity to your advantage, is a step in the winner’s circle of successful negotiating with results. This concept has created more wars than any other nation, why because when your emotions get the attention, it becomes personal and we try and protect our boundaries our beliefs. Over time, we break this pattern and strengthen our morals or break apart entirely. This is one of the strongest cornerstones of our conviction.

We as humans, well some of us become emotional reactivity, meaning how we will react to certain situations that comfort us. Make or break the deal, absolutely in its finest fashion allowing you to obtain an additional advantage in your control in this case. We all know some people are just plain weird, they become hot-head, indolent or just plain over emotional. With much luck perhaps with age and maturity they will learn their deviations that prevent them from achieving their dreams.

Mastering your reactivities and keeping them in perspective without over reacting,
is a chore for most of us!
We just repeat our faults!!

Some New Changes Coming to APSense soon!

A little about myself l been here since September 15, 2007, it was my son's birthday, made sense for me to join this site. I have seen many changes some good some l do not exactly agree with. But l do know and understand one thing about APSense you will never get the freedom you have here as a "Free Member.' Your abilities and talent are at your fingertips; you have it all here.

But like most "Social Media Business Sites". We have our fair share of problems as we all know "Spamming" is a primary concern, it's useless and laziness from the promoter of that link. We have found a way to control this type of "Marketing" here at APSense, more information on this to follow. APSense is about sharing the creative writing of articles that will enhance new babies and seasoned writers, educate each of us to become better at what we do.

I have met, read and learned from many of the members here at APSense on how to be better at what l desire and that is the market on the internet. Tonight l had a long talk with our founder Wincer Song about all that has been going on here since l been away but always kept an eye on what was being streamed out by our members. Read some articles, hardly ever comment on any or give it a like.

I told him what we talked about is how we are going to make this a much more professional business site and attract experts in some areas to provide our audience advise and educate you to lead your company to become more active and fruitful. It's going to take time, but we have a game plan that will provide rewards and most of all; bring us all success to our promotions.

For all the new members who have no idea who Wincer is, l will tell you this. He is the most determine, stubborn owner l have worked with. I can say that cause l know him pretty well. His goal is to grow and become the best "Social Media Business Site" on the internet. We will get there one idea at a time, we currently Ranking on Alexa's at 3,232 that's progress in the right direction.

I will share more information about what we are doing and the direction we will take....

If it's Not a Money Making site, "NO" One reads it, Why?

Been doing some research tonight on what sites get the most attention on the "Social Media Sites"!! I am not at all surprised by what l discovered at all, totally expected it and knew it for a long time. Most members, are to focus on clicking the sites that will actually lead them to the never, never land.

So if l promote useless links from let's say "Click Bank" they have made millions of dollars not knocking them at all, just how many other members are promoting that same product; the same way as all the other affiliated members are doing it. So let's be honest here when you decided to promote that product, your mind said wow, l am going to become rich with this. Forgetting one thing, if you find it, how many others are using it before you find it.

So the point here is if you are up against all the other affiliated members, what competitive edge are you using to make your link different and optimized differently with creative meta tags, keywords and keyword phrases. What makes you stand out. With all due respect, anyone can copy and paste and then click the hit button and send it to cyberspace. But did you get any confirmation in your "INBOX" saying Congratulation you have made a "sale"?

If you do not, believe me, go to your email account and see if you have any....I hope you do, really l do. Not that easy at all, when you have so many people pitching the same items you are. Everything you found on the internet, someone has beaten you to it. How do l know this been doing this since l learned CoBAL, RPG, DOS yes showing my age.

When you fully understand and learn how the search engines crawl your site and perhaps index your site and how it is being ranked by "Alexa's Ranking" then you have a competitive edge. Investing in your abilities, will provide you with an accurate 'ROI" return on your investment.

The internet is the fastest way to make real money and the most frustrating place when your not making money. You say how come l am not getting clicks, how come no one likes my articles, what did l do wrong. Yes, l could go on...but why right you all know the point and the,'WHY FACTOR"....

How many Managers, understand this concept, the 4-3-2-1 rule?

It will provide you with an actual value of what you are getting for your advertised dollar. Simple but very useful tool, to understand and apply it each and every day....If you where a Manager was working for me and you could not provide me these number daily, we would have a problem?

Who has used this rule in Their Dealership?

Part One. This formula allows you and your Sales Manager to see your progress with how you are handling customers. I will tell you how many customers you had for the day, week and the month. Part two it will allow you and your Sales Manager to know what percentage of the customer are taking a demo drive. Part three it allows your Sales Manager to know how many offers you are getting from your walk in traffic as a percentage. Part four it indicates your closing ratio from all of your efforts....When you understand this concept, you will know where you will need additional training. We are all aware you will always have 100 percent customers so the top number will always be 100 percent.

Part Two is the demo drive....when you take the number of clients and divide them by how many demo drives you had it will provide you with a percentage. I good number is 75 percent of customers should be going on a demo drive.....if you're getting let's say 44 percent you will need to work on how to get more demo drives why are your clients not taking more demo rides with you.

Part Three. Is the offer how many customers are you getting an offer from after you have taken them on a demo drive. It's imperative percentage. It is where most sales people get week or do not have the proper training to get a customer to present an offer; no offers no sales... if your only getting 30 percent of the customers to make an offer, then you will need to focus on what you are not doing....Once you learn this, it will increase, and you will have more sales.

Part Four. Is the actual close, when you make a purchase, you have done all the steps in order, and correctly, now you have earned a commission for your efforts. A good closing ratio, depending on how many customer you spoke to is in around the 17 percent.

Let's review the 4-3-2-1 Rule

4 - is the number of how many clients you spoke to today, so it is always a 100%

3 - is the number of how many clients you took on a demo drive, so it is 75%

2 - is the number of how many clients presented you with an offer, so it is 50%

1 - is the number of clients you close using the above steps, so it is 25%

You made a sale, means you made a commission.. so if you want to make two sales, just double the numbers.

Now that you have an understanding of how this works, please feel free to ask any additional questions on this subject. The most competitive formula you should be sharing with your sales staff, as a Sales Manager. Learn this and you keep your job forever, and more than likely get recruited by other dealers who see your value.

"How Can You Earn an Income on the Internet"

There is only one basic answer to that question for me, and that is to "Get Connected."
Everyone is getting connected, so you better think about comparing yourself and your business to everyone!

Since the inception of the internet our world of commerce has changed drastically and social media with all it's various forms are becoming or should I say have become the dominant form of interaction. Online tools like pod-casts, blogs, search engines, video, and audio, just to name a few have been deployed into media such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Apsense along with marketing sources such as offer realistic ways to get involved and productive for yourself and your business. It is the new media, the "me media" or "you media" for marketing in this new age of business.

Connecting your business to other firms, clients, and potential customers are essential as the old rules of business won't help you much. Survival depends on connecting, creating "real" value, speaking authentically and building trust with everyone. And everyone means your customers, colleagues and ~ yes ~ even your competitors.

So let's go back to ~ How Can You Earn an Income on the Internet? ~ then just sit and think for a minute - and ask yourself:
"How are you going to build your business and get your name out there?"
Well, first you must understand that business has been forced or is being obliged to change and this, in turn, changes everything we know about business and how you are going to have to connect yourself, your brand, your products, and your services. Your game plan will be to spread the word and your message far and wide; consider it has become a global market for yourself and your business. Part of that plan is to understand your 'target market" and connect with them and then build a relationship.

We all have access to the new technology, the internet, and the new age mobile devices that are out there, and these are the tools which connect you. Using these tools in conjunction with the social media tools I mentioned previously are the channels that will work for you as you work to add value, your voice and the ability to connect with your consumers; so Engage~Inform~Educate by taking part in the social communities available. It's driven by the time you need to invest, not so much by the money that you invest.

The people that are connecting and doing so through these tools and channels are growing their personal brand and their business and are rivaling some of the biggest corporations on the planet. You have the size, the power, the audience and the influence to become the entrepreneur you desire. Connect, communicate, share and grow your business and you will find the implications are massive. You as an individual and a company owning entrepreneur have only one choice: get involved, build your awareness and combine everything and you can eclipse your competition.

So - how can you earn an income on the internet - simple:
