Tips and Concepts to Use When Prospecting With a Cold Market

Without prospects, you have no way of increasing your success with any business whether it is marketing with an eCommerce Business, Multi Level Marketing or a Brick and Mortar Business. Prospects are the blood line of achievement with the mentioned industries.

When I first got into sales back in 1983, selling vehicles at a Large Dealership in Agincourt, Ontario where I worked. I asked a question to my Sales Manager, so where do I get my prospects from? He looked at me, and said l will be right back; he slammed the white pages phone book on my desk. Do you have any other questions?

I got the message, but I had a big problem, I had no education on how to prospect.  So I spoke to all my senior sales partners, but they were old school with established repeat clients, so that was a waste of human energy. We had no internet back then, so I decided to dedicate myself to this field by going to the Library and reading all the books that related to the sales industry.

I would go to the library a couple of times a week, and borrow new books that I had an interest. I came across an author who was called The World's Greatest Salesman Joe Girard. Wow, I said to myself, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I read and study his principles, and started to apply his concepts, tips to my daily activities. Within a couple of weeks of doing what l had studied, I started having results. I had more appointments for the week than most of the senior sales partners at our dealership.

I recall one day my Sales Manager came up to me and asked how I was getting so many appointments when I was only a car cadet, other words a rookie. I looked at him and said I am doing what you told me to do, using the phone book and calling the prospect. What are you talking about to them, so I showed him the script I had wrote and tested, to see where my results were coming from. Yes, I kept records on all of my calls, created a manual file for each prospect, with names and important details, that would help me engage with them and establish credibility.

The number one tip I have learned from all of my years invested in the sales industry is still the same tip I use in 2016, this will never change, if you want results, you have to study your the market, and when applying this concept, you will see results. Learning how to engage with your prospect without coming across as some robot. God give us two ears and one mouth, which one should we use the most?

Let us not forget we as car salesmen do not have an excellent reputation, so this is one of the hardest industries to make a full time living from. The status of a car salesperson has drastically changed with all the new industry standards, but most people still do not trust a car salesman.

That was how prospecting was conducted back then, but the approaches used have not changed except, now we use different tools, called Social Media Marketing. Creating a brand, getting Likes to our FaceBook Page, using all types of various Social Media Levels, such as LinkedIn, Twitter, FaceBook just to name a few.  

When we are using Social Media Levels, we still need to get the most important point across, getting our prospect to engage with each other, without pitching him on the first impression, or second for that matter. It's so important, and most rookies will prospect you to the point of you being spam by their opportunity, never understood why anyone would take this unsuccessful approach.

You will need to become a master of the skills you learn, the only way this is going to happen is by you practicing your script on a daily base. Keep track of what is working and what is not working, modify it so it can become a seed of endless prospects for you to work with.

"How Can You Earn an Income on the Internet"


There is only one basic answer to that question for me, and that is to "Get Connected."
Everyone is getting connected, so you better think about comparing yourself and your business to everyone!

Since the inception of the internet our world of commerce has changed drastically and social media with all it's various forms are becoming or should I say have become the dominant form of interaction. Online tools like pod-casts, blogs, search engines, video, and audio, just to name a few have been deployed into media such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Apsense along with marketing sources such as About.me offer realistic ways to get involved and productive for yourself and your business. It is the new media, the "me media" or "you media" for marketing in this new age of business.

Connecting your business to other firms, clients, and potential customers are essential as the old rules of business won't help you much. Survival depends on connecting, creating "real" value, speaking authentically and building trust with everyone. And everyone means your customers, colleagues and ~ yes ~ even your competitors.

So let's go back to ~ How Can You Earn an Income on the Internet? ~ then just sit and think for a minute - and ask yourself:
"How are you going to build your business and get your name out there?"
Well, first you must understand that business has been forced or is being obliged to change and this, in turn, changes everything we know about business and how you are going to have to connect yourself, your brand, your products, and your services. Your game plan will be to spread the word and your message far and wide; consider it has become a global market for yourself and your business. Part of that plan is to understand your 'target market" and connect with them and then build a relationship.

We all have access to the new technology, the internet, and the new age mobile devices that are out there, and these are the tools which connect you. Using these tools in conjunction with the social media tools I mentioned previously are the channels that will work for you as you work to add value, your voice and the ability to connect with your consumers; so Engage~Inform~Educate by taking part in the social communities available. It's driven by the time you need to invest, not so much by the money that you invest.

The people that are connecting and doing so through these tools and channels are growing their personal brand and their business and are rivaling some of the biggest corporations on the planet. You have the size, the power, the audience and the influence to become the entrepreneur you desire. Connect, communicate, share and grow your business and you will find the implications are massive. You as an individual and a company owning entrepreneur have only one choice: get involved, build your awareness and combine everything and you can eclipse your competition.


So - how can you earn an income on the internet - simple:

It's another week and time to usher out on expert and usher in a new one. One of My criteria for determining the expert is how much time and effort I see them putting into helping others. This is actually a comment l posted in my recent RevPage comments section of this topic...
decided to share what l wrote and why l decided to promote it....when you read this bulletin you will understand it. Then go back and have a look at all the features and what it will do for your traffic...

Yep Paula this was introduced a while back for IMfaceplate, and when they did release it on November 23, 2010, I was following and doing all the marketing research on this new viral marketing method l noticed one thing............HOW MANY WILL ACTUALLY USE IT!!


The "ANSWER" is very simple, if it takes work, then most are not interested in performing any additional work, to actually succeed on the internet...Very few make any money here on the net....No burning desire, just looking for a quick fix....ouch..take that the wrong way if you like....same results.

What l write and teach or try to "BUT" many listen to me and are doing rather well...face contact is vital........phone call......personal email to the potential client........This is what makes or breaks success from the average Joe. the internet is all about Marketing along with ranking sites, indexing pages....performing at the Best You Can Be.........Why Wincer is a Winner......so that means one thing APSENSE IS A WINNER...........when you follow hands down leader as in Wincer.........No Secret we talk, but we get results........

Phil said it all we want is Success To All Of our Members............ I will take this comment and posted so we all have the same feelings as in the direction Wincer is taking APSene to become be in the top 50 Social Business Sites on the world wide web.....Then take the final steps.......

The original article was written on November 2, 2010, providing us all with information and the importance of why you should have backlinks on your site's. This information is only going to work for a very few of us, what l mean by this rather crude statement is not many will apply what Gilberto and Myself are training you to achieve.

This group's intention is to become profitable with all it's members, as a paid group you need to see rewards coming back to your wallet. Why did you join? Getting back to the above statement, very few read, follow steps and only expect a reward without any effort. The key here is if you're not going to follow simple steps, why you here? We need members who listen, follow and create the success of this group for all of us, why this group will succeed, we will all be on the same page and enjoying, the success from each participating member. We need leaders, who have the ability to create streams of endless backlinks back to our "OWN SITES". If you have refreshed your memory and you not gone away we now train you on how to use different types of backlinks.

Articles


Write them, with great content, making them meaningful, very informative, and must be non-duplicated articles. This will ultimately determine the maximum number of websites that will link to all of your pages.

Press Releases

We need to post announcements, provide news and information via a bulletin, get them all published by a specific service such as PRWeb for a wide distribution then is syndicated worldwide. This type of backlink creates indexing and generates traffic all work together for providing another source of backlinking.

Blogging

This most cost effective way of creating backlinks and learning how it all works. This is my favorite way of created streams of backlinks. Now you need to start and follow our blog add comments, Just watch your results.

Audio

Why this works is for the simple reason not everyone likes to read, so by using this method is another way because it is valid and valuable.

Video

Same concept as Audio, some rather watch and listen, then read.

Indexing

This is going to be a subject all on its own, rather complicated and important for you to achieve creative backlinks that will act as a sitemap that is updated with all of your sites content to all major search engines so that your web pages gets the correct credit for it to be properly ranked.

This information will "LEAD" your site to your target markets when it is followed and executed with support and committed members of this Unique Club. You will have the ability to learn the final and most important factor on why it works. I can prove it to you with my two blogs, the difference one has over the other. A five-week-old blog has a higher ranking than a three-year-old blog. Why is that? You will found out soon, but actually, you should already know the answer.

This is how the back-link club works

Since we started this group yesterday, interest in it has continually grown. And many Apsense members have formed their own opinions about what it is we are trying to do. The concept of back-linking is not new, nor can Joseph or myself be credited with it.

However, the concept of this club is mine and the way I envision it working to the benefit of all involved, can best be explained as follows:

HOW DOES THE BACK LINK CLUB WORK?


We are looking for serious business people who are interested in crafting and sharing quality content with other Back Link Club members. The main objective is to elevate each others rankings and to improve each others bottom line.

POST REQUIREMENTS


* Niche topics? web development, web hosting, domain names, blogging, WordPress, CMS, software, search engine, SEO, programming, tips, tricks, hacks etc.
* Original unique content ? not published anywhere in original or any modified form.


POST FORMAT

* First paragraph? The first line automatically becomes the META description tag of the article. Please choose your text carefully.

* Article text? Try to add bold, underlines, bullets, numbered lists, paragraphs, and h3 tags wherever required to give your article text more clarity.

* Link policy? We allow up to 3 external links to other sites. All links are do-follow.

* Images? Strongly recommended. Optimized fast loading images with maximum 450px wide.

* Post length? We recommend you have a minimum of 200 words.

Where do I find people to Prospect

This has been a question I get a lot from people I train tin building a business on line. They either get or they don't. To prospect you have to start with a plan or a goal or what we marketers call finding a "Target Market".

I have already talked about how to target a market so we are not going to get into detail. Targeting a market is to find people who have needs, wants or a problem that your product will provide for them. Finding your Target market should be the first thing you should do first.

After you have determined your target market you will need to set up a marketing campaign that will draw in your targeted market. There are many ways to do this. You could use surveys. This is just a simple multiple questions that people can answer. Another is the use of landing pages with information about the product and a contact form to collect information about your prospects.

I use Automated emails which are similar to landing pages but it is more personal. It gives me a personal connection with my prospects so that I can gain their trust.

Some marketers just don't understand that people join people, not businesses. If you want people to join your network then you have to give them a reason to join you. If they don't trust you then they won't. People, especially new marketers want to feel secure and to know that there is someone there to walk them or teach them how to become successful.

There is much more to Twitter than using keywords. Have you ever noticed the difference in your following and follower counts. Your Following count seems to be much more than your followers.

Why is that?

It's because you're trying to follow everyone and everybody to sell them on your business opportunity. When your following count is bigger than your follower count you're a follower or someone who just wants to spam everyone you are following. You don't have any valuable information to offer so, people who were following you will UN-Follow you. Leaving you look like a follower instead of a leader.

There are 6 ways you can fix this:

1. Start offering valuable information

People want solutions to their problems and if you offer a solution they will keep coming back for more. (Returning customers)

2. Don't follow just anyone

Remember Target Market? Find your Target Market on Twitter. You have to find your audience before you can offer an opportunity. If someone is posting on Twitter Sports information they want nothing to do what you're offering unless it's about sports and Don't follow girls who offer sexual pics. It's very tacky and not good for business.

3. Only post about your business opportunity once in the morning, once in the afternoon and again at night. All other posts should offer some kind of value.
Advertising less is better, people are tired of sales pitches and they will smell you coming before you have a chance to present your opportunity. Add a post about your opportunity 3 times a day.

4. The link in your post should go to your blog or personal website instead of the lead page. This lets people know that you have information that is valuable to them and you're not trying to push your opportunity on them. Creates a good relationship.

5. Archive your following count. This is very easy to do. Go to the list of people your are following. Click on the link that looks like a gear for each person you are following. If they are following you there will be a direct message link in the drop down box. If there is not one then that person has chosen to not follow you. I would UN-Follow them back because they are not getting your posts and you are getting all their posts. If you have a lot of people this will be time-consuming but worth it. If you are just starting out you can implement this in your daily routine.

6. Re-post your followers post.
This will get your followers to re-post your postings. Why is this such a big deal, well because if they re-post they are telling other who may not be following you about your post. Therefore, you get more readers!

Now that you now the 6 ways to become a leader on Twitter you should have no problem becoming successful. Don't be a follower, be a leader!
