The True Meaning of Giving Back, In What You Believe In

April 01, 2011

The True Meaning of Giving Back, In What You Believe In:

This is a story about a young man, who understood what it meant to be a Professional Hockey Player who spent 12 years playing in the NHL, (National Hockey League). This is about a young man who could have just walked away from it all and lived in comfort for the rest of his life. Instead, he decided to do, what nobody would even imagine, live in one of the most remote places, humanly imaginable, and take on the most challenging job of his young life.

Before beginning a career in which he won an Olympic silver medal in 1992, scored 102 points as a Boston Bruins rookie in 1992-93 and then went on to Stanley cup finals with the Washington Capitals and the Buffalo Sabre's. Joe Juneau, from a small town called Pont-Rouge, Quebec who also earned a degree in aeronautical engineering in just three years. He did this despite studying in a language that he could not speak when he started at the university. He says to this day his biggest accomplish in his life was getting his RPI degree ahead of all he accomplished in Hockey.

His office is located Kuujjuaq, a small town of 2,100 and the metropolis of the 14 villages dotted approximately 800 km north of Quebec City. He decides to move his wife and two daughters to start up a program where "Drug Addiction and Suicide have become problems of ALARM." Now he works at the 58th parallel, in a place where there are no roads other than the streets in Kuujjuanq. This area is also knowing as Nunavik where the Inuit population call home. Joe Juneau first visited Nunavik on a caribou hunting trip, back in 2004 and decided that he had a mission to accomplish in his life.

On a return trip in the spring of 2006, he had noticed that the local rink was completely deserted and children playing in the streets without any supervision. He presented a plan for his hockey program to the Inuit-run Makivik Corporation. The program set forth 10 objectives, which included educational tie-ins, crime prevention, the development of local coaches who could meet standards set by the Quebec Ice Hockey Federation, nutritional instruction, and community volunteerism.

There are, in fact, three conditions for children who want to stay in the program, wear the uniforms and maybe make the travel team. They are not judged on school work, per say but on attendance, behavior, and effort. Each Friday the grammar teacher fills out reports assessing each student in all three categories. By sticking and meeting these conditions at the school, allows the children to take part in this program developed by Joe. He makes it very clear in order for you to be part of my program, you will need to follow these simple rules, no exceptions what so ever. As one of the local teachers said, a hockey stick can be a wonderful carrot.

What he has accomplished, is teaching the children the most fundamental basic skills and captured their attention that they can develop lifelong skills, that will provide them with the ability, to be able to make them the best they can be within their own ability. He organized drills as elementary as having younger children skate to center ice and belly flop, acclimating them to falling. As time progressed the children slowly improved on their skills and obtaining much-needed confidence in their ability.

Children started to change their attitudes, going home and helping around the house with daily chores and helping younger siblings with homework. Small steps, but why would a person do this? Move his family to one of the most remote places in North America. How many lives can Joe Juneau actually change? Can a harsh and haunting landscape be remade through sports? Time will tell Joe has made a difference for many young children in his program.

How long does it take to make money on the internet

March 24, 2011

This is a very good and well-written article for anyone who wants to make a living on the internet. Thank you, Laura, for sharing this information with all our readers.

How long does it take to make money on the internet?

When I started my business 4 years ago, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I had never built a website, and I didn't have a clue what SEO, HTML, or keywords even meant. I didn't know what blogging was, and I never heard of twitter, facebook or social networks. The only thing I knew was how to open my e-mail. (this is the absolute truth).

Then, I was introduced to Multi-Pure. I answered an add in the local newspaper for someone looking for helpers at our local state fair. I called the guy and we met that day at the local McDonald's. He started talking about this water filter company that I had never heard of. At the time, I was broke, out of work and a penny less. We were about to lose our home and I was in desperate need of a job. He told me about his company and I was so impressed, that I immediately joined Multi-Pure.

I was so excited to have found this company and I went home and went online and learned everything I could about this company. I told my husband that I was going to sell water filters on the internet!!! My husband responded with "You will NEVER sell anything on the internet"! I, however, know a good thing when I see it. I had such a good feeling about this company and the product, that I just knew I had found my niche.

So I went about learning how to market on the internet. I learned that I absolutely had to have a website, so I decided to build my own!! WHAT? Yup, I took that leap and decided to learn absolutely everything I could about building a website. Along the way, I learned SEO and how to get your website on the first page of Google. THIS was my goal!!! If I was going to succeed, I absolutely had to get my site on Google.

I decided to go with Yahoo page builder. (not knowing any better) and not realizing there are web building programs out there that have templates already installed. Page builder starts you out with blank pages!!! Anyway, to make a long story short, I built my first website with page-builder. It took me over 6 months, but low and behold my website (purest drinking water.com) ended up on the fist page of Google.

I decided to start running some ads using PPC (pay per click). I read that it helps to run some advertising to get sales, so I started using yahoo's pay per click service. Of course I couldn't afford much, and started out at $2. per day. Now, you have to realize, when you're flat broke and can barely pay your bills $60 per month is A LOT of money. But I didn't care. I told my hubby, We've got to spend money to make money. Well.. the sales started rolling in!!! I'll be darned, I was actually selling water filters on the Internet!!!! Ye Ha!

Well, what happened next? I was named Multi-Pure's 2007 "Rookie of the year"! I made 60 sales that first year and was honored with my first award and trip from Multi-Pure for my efforts! (and a nice bonus check to boot). Ha! now my husband was eating a lot of crows.

I am now into my 4th year and my sales and downline have quadrupled. I am now making over $20,000 per year and my income is doubling every year.

So...How long does it take to make money on the internet?? THAT is up to YOU! I can tell you this...You will not get rich overnight. You MUST be motivated and devoted to Your business. Learn everything you can. listen to your mentors. (I didn't have anyone to teach me) I learned by researching and countless hours of reading about marketing on the internet. I am still learning every day, and I now try to teach my downline and others what I have learned.

My advice is, if you really, really want to make money on the internet You can do it!! Get motivated and stick with it!

This is my latest and biggest paycheck to date. And every month they get bigger! What can I say? The hard work does pay off! (This is a 2-week paycheck). That is one of the great things about Multi-Pure. You get paid every 2 weeks!!

Common Newbies Mistakes

March 23, 2011

After reviewing the blogs and articles that l read today l decide to pick this blog to share with us all, he has some good comments posted, with 10 Tops so far his doing well. Well written Rajesh, l enjoyed it and also benefit from reading it...

Common Newbies Mistakes

Since I am writing this blog keeping in mind of all the newbies and person still not able to find the good result, today I am listing common mistakes is being made by newcomers (Even I did some) & even by old one too, who still searching for good opportunity. This is more important to write such thing at this time as internet users are increasing day by day and many newcomers are being scammed by old scammers time & again.

Very Easy Money

Every newcomer, when looking at the plans shown in most of the sites, attracts to it and starts making their own calculations & maximum person fails just because of their assumption of Very Easy Money, which is practically not there. So make your mind that nothing is easy & free and for each & everything in life you have to make efforts.

Need Everything Instant.....

Newcomers seeking everything instantly, which is practically not there. Before thinking this kind of things just compare your daily routine life & think about your learning process Vs perfection time period.

Lack of Knowledge
Main reason for failure is Lack of Knowledge. One quote in India "GURU BINA GATI NAHI" means... "NO SUCCESS WITHOUT MENTOR" in other words find a person to get help so you learn from their experience.

Starting Many Tasks Together

For making fast money, many people starting many tasks at the same time, which should be avoided as most loose their enthusiasm to complete the same.

Cleverest Person Of The World

Newcomers are thinking that they are the most clever person on the earth and making silly mistakes like by opening multiple accounts at sites as their own referrals from single IP address, which is a violation of terms.

Useless Tasks

Many people joining earning sites without even reading their terms. They only come to know their terms when they reached payout and get a reply "You violated the terms" or "Your Country is Not in our Approved List" instead of payment.

Spending Money

Some person coming with their Credit Cards and start buying Ebooks, CB Products, premium memberships or making HYIP investments, which then results in loss of money & Some are not spending even a single dime and expecting money. Need to Balance everything and find where to spend.

Spamming

A lot of person for getting results started sending unsolicited emails or start spamming their Social Network contact, which is against SPAM LAW and as a result of permanent BAN from spamming.

The Worst Addiction ~ at least in my book!

March 19, 2011

The Worst Addiction ~ at least in my book!

One of what I perceive to be the most prevalent addictions in the world ~ email addiction!

I want to ask you - are you controlling your time or is your email controlling your time?

If you're in business for yourself and by yourself, which is usually the case when operating
a home based business, then removing as many distractions as possible is a must. In my book one of the biggest distractions and time wasters is your email.

Do you have your email program open right now, do you have it open all the time? If you do, I suggest you change this habit now. And I mean right now - go ahead log off, then come back to this article.

I suggest you don't open it until you complete a few of your priorities first. There are a lot of people I know that just can't wait to log onto their computer every morning to see what is waiting for them in their inbox. It really is like an addiction, and in reality, how many of those emails can wait. When your email program is open and you hear that little "ding" - do you, like so many others, click on it and read? If you do, you are not focusing on the task at hand, you are not completing your priorities in a timely manner, you have been distracted. If you're distracted from the task at hand, then you have to refocus and review where you were, then pick up and start again.

"There is not enough time in a day" - this is a common saying, along with "am I ever busy" when in the fact that may not be the case. The case may be that you are being controlled by your email? If we don't control our time, we are not being effective, if your emails are controlling you then before long, half of your day or more may have been wasted.

Time to control your addiction:
I suggest setting aside some time in the morning and sometime in the late afternoon to go through your emails on your terms. Consider half hour or 45 minutes prior to lunch and then again in the late afternoon, or whatever time best appeals to your schedule. Deal with each email only once and move on, either respond to it or schedule a time to handle it. If you just read it and set it aside without effectively dealing with it and you just want to deal with it another time, this will cause you frustration in the long run.

By limiting your time to your email program, it will create control over your time.

Great Expectations

March 2, 2011

Great Expectations

This is a story l came across and decided to share with you all who read it. I thought it was rather funny and had something to offer us here at APSense, but only you can be the judge. I hope you enjoy it and it made you smile, all that really matters.

On the first day of school, a teacher was glancing over the roll when she noticed a number after each student name, such as 154, 136 or 142.

"Wow! Look at these IQ's," she said to herself. "What a terrific class." The teacher promptly determined to work harder with this class than with any other she ever had.

Throughout the year, she came up with innovative lessons that she thought would challenge the students because she didn't want them to get bored with work that was too easy.

Her plan worked! The class outperformed all the other classes that she taught in the usual way.

Then, during the last quarter of the year, she discovered what those numbers after the students name really were: their locker numbers.

The lesson here is very simple one,  if you have the attitude from the start, you can pretty much accomplish anything you want to so never settle your goals or desire low if you think who you are and will become who you really think you are, it's all in your mindset. It all started because she thought that they were top achievers and she didn't want to disappoint them, she believed and convinced herself that she had to apply extra effort.............It is all how you see yourself, will determine what you can accomplish in life so never settle for anything less than you deserve.

All the Best,
